Official Rules for Win a Rock 'n Roll Weekend in Vegas Sweepstakes

Eligibility:

The "Win a Rock 'N Roll Weekend in Vegas Sweepstakes" ("Sweepstakes") is open to natural persons twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry who are residing in the United States, excluding California, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and its territories. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by Wenner Media LLC, 1290 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10104 and Scottish & Newcastle Importers, Co., 4040 Civic Center Dr. #401, San Rafael, CA 94903 ("Sponsor"). Alcohol beverage industry members, including retailers, and their families, employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives of Sponsor, or the promotion and advertising agencies of any aforementioned entity, and their immediate family members and those living in their household, and each person or entity connected with the production or administration of the Sweepstakes, and each parent company, affiliate, subsidiary, agent and representative of any aforementioned entity are not eligible. Employees of Sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and their immediate family members and/or those living in same household are not eligible.

Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on August 20, 2007 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on October 15, 2007 (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Sweepstakes subject to these Official Rules, which can be found at rssoundingboard.com/Newcastle

How to Enter:

ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY: To enter the Sweepstakes, visit the Rolling Stone Sounding Board website at rssoundingboard.com/newcastle and follow the registration and entry directions provided therein. Only one (1) entry per natural person and e-mail address will be accepted. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a selected entrant for any prize ("Selected Entrant"), the name of the person currently identified as the rightful owner of the email address as determined by the email host will be deemed to be the Selected Entrant. In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account, the authorized account subscriber of the email account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor not responsible for corrupted, delayed, garbled, misdirected, or incomplete entries. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.

Selection and Notification of Winners:

Six (6) Grand Prize winners (each a Selected Entrant) will be selected from a random drawing held on or about October 16, 2007 from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. One Selected Entrant will be selected from each of six (6) regions. The six regions are as follows:
" Mid-Atlantic: DC, KY, MD, NC, OH, VA, WV
" Midwest: IL, IN, MI, MN, ND, SD, WI
" Northeast: CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT
" Northwest: CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY
" South: AR, AZ, IA, KS, LA, MO, MS, NE, NM, OK, TX
" Southeast: AL, FL, GA, SC
The Selected Entrants will be notified by e-mail or telephone at Sponsor's option. The failure of any Selected Entrant to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of the prize and, in such case, Sponsor may randomly select an alternate chosen entrant from among the remaining eligible entries (Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect email addresses and is not obligated to make multiple attempts to contact Selected Entrant). Sponsor shall not make more than two alternate selections to award the prize. Selected Entrants must execute a Declaration of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance/Publicity Release Form within 10 days of notification, unless restricted by law. Acceptance of any prize constitutes consent to use Selected Entrant's name, likeness, hometown name and/or prize information for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation or prior review, except where prohibited by law. Selected Entrant will be required to provide name, U.S. Social Security Number (for tax form purposes), birth date, current address and phone number. For age verification purposes, Selected Entrant may also be required to provide a driver's license or other valid state identification. Sponsor reserves the right to request additional proof of age and will not accept expired identification. An alternate Selected Entrant may be randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries if a Selected Entrant: (i) cannot be reached; (ii) fails to respond with the required information in a timely manner as required pursuant to these Official Rules; or (iii) cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason. Sponsor may delay or not award prize if it believes Selected Entrant has fraudulently entered the promotion.

Odds:

Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received, as well as the number of eligible entries in your region (the country is broken down into six regions and one winner will be selected from each).

Prizes:

Six (6) Grand Prize winners will receive: Roundtrip coach airfare for two (2) from one(1) major U.S. airport location nearest Selected Entrant's residence to Las Vegas, Nevada, Las Vegas hotel accommodations for two (2) nights (based on double occupancy), two (2) concert tickets to a show chosen by Sponsor and Selected Entrant, subject to Sponsor's complete discretion, One Thousand Dollars (US$1000.00) spending cash, and a hotel welcome package containing two (2) Newcastle branded t-shirts, two (2) Newcastle branded hats, and the book "Rolling Stone 1,000 Covers: A History of the Most Influential Magazine in Pop Culture." Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of Grand Prize: Three thousand, five hundred dollars (US$3500.00). ARV of all prizes awarded (US$21,000.00) Actual retail value of the Grand Prize may vary. Certain restrictions may apply. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except as provided herein. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Sponsors may substitute a prize of greater or equal value. Travel will be arranged by Sponsor at its sole discretion (Sponsor represents that Selected Entrants will travel between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.) Travel must occur no later than April 15, 2008. All costs and expenses not specifically listed herein are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Selected Entrant, including without limitation, meals, airport transfers, optional excursions, trip protections coverage, hotel extras, including room service, phone and internet service, laundry service, in-room movies, personal items, mini bar, baggage handling, gratuity, special airport fees, including 9/11 security fees, taxes and levies, if any. Companions must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and must travel with Selected Entrant together on the same itinerary (travel must originate at same airport). Both the Selected Entrant and travel companion will be required to sign and return declarations of eligibility and other liability releases prior to issuance of travel documents. No part of the prize not redeemed by Selected Entrant (including accommodation for travel companion) is redeemable for cash or trade. All additional costs, including taxes, are the sole responsibility of Selected Entrants. All federal/state/local taxes are the sole responsibility of Selected Entrants. Selected entrant will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of any awarded prize.

General Conditions:

1. Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules. All decisions of Sponsor are final and binding, and entrants agree to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law.
2. By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its attorneys, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, together with the respective directors, employees, officers, licensees, attorneys, licensors and agents of each, including without limitation, their respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Sweepstakes (collectively, "Releasees") from any and all liability, expense, injury, cost, loss, claim, action, demand or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury, death and/or property damage, arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes including the awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of a prize, malfunction of any prize awarded, travel to and from any prize related activity and participation in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to use the Sweepstakes for publicity purposes in any media.
3. This Sweepstakes is void outside the US, in California, Tennessee, Puerto Rico and its territories, and where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws.
4. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or violating these Official Rules. The Releasees shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, incomplete unreadable, incorrect, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer or internet malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays, email failure, technical problems with the rssoundingboard.com/Newcastle website or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (v) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Sweepstakes, and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes in any way by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other players or Sponsor representatives. Use of any automated system to participate is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor may disqualify at its sole discretion any entries it believes are created by an automated system. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE RSSOUNDINGBOARD.COM/NEWCASTLE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
5. Disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or this Sweepstakes will be governed by the internal laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of laws principles. Participants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State and Federal Court located in New York County and agree that such courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
